8 Healthy Boat Snacks To Get At Trader Joe’s

8 Healthy Boat Snacks To Get At Trader Joe’s

What’s easier than grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s? Prices are the bomb, they have a creative selection of yummy products, and the cheese and flower section can’t be beaten. Chris and I buy at least half our groceries there, which means TJ’s is also our go-to place for snacks, particularly for road trips, boat days, or care packages for Chris! (Speaking of, here are some care package ideas and how to send one.)

There are many snack options to choose from, so I’ve “photo journaled” my top faves so you can easily recognize them on your next trip. Plus, some of these are essential when combating seasickness (as seen here).Β  And if you don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you, I’ve linked similar items from Amazon below. (They are affiliate links, which means I will make a small cut if you happen to purchase. No pressure at all, but thanks if you do!)

For example, the ginger seltzer (here’s a similar one) and the organic olive oil popcorn (I love this one) are the first items I’ll grab. And I don’t know what I’d do without soft-chew licorice from New Zealand or classic water crackers and saltines. We make PB & Banana sandwiches for a protein kick, and maybe throw in a turkey sandwich and a pack of jerkyΒ too. And let’s have a moment of silence for a good ‘ole Macro Bar. I always have a peanut butter chocolate chip in my car, purse, and backpack at all times. Luckily, you can buy them at most grocery stores, including Traders. This year, Chris and I have decided to get them by the box. Another thing I should probably buy in bulk is seaweed. Chris loves that stuff and has gotten me hooked, too. When I send him a care package, I like to buy the big sheets of seaweed instead of the little boxes because it’s less waste for the boat (and environment), plus it packs more easily! Transitioning to dark sweet cherries – my mouth waters at the thought! I’m also a huge fan of dried mango, but right now, cherries with no added sugar are my jam. Last but not least, the plantain chip! I can easily eat a whole bag but reluctantly stop at half. Here’s a link for 3 bags. Which honestly, it’s best to buy more than one. Trust.

What I like to call happiness in a can. The cranberry lime one is also refreshing!

Warning: you may eat the whole bag of popcorn in one sitting (like me). 😜 You have been warned.

Another addicting treat: seriously, nothing better than New Zealand licorice. (The texture! You gotta try!) 😍

I have one with me at all times – they save me (and Chris) from hanger. Legit.

GURL. Nutty with a pinch of salt, put a few in your sandwich to elevate lunch. 🐟
