Commercial Lobster Fishing w/ Photographer Bri Dwyer

Last week I posted a photo journal of what it looks like when my commercial lobster fishing fiancé pulls traps (or “pots”) off the coast of Southern California.

This week is a special treat because here are images of the same trip through the eyes of photographer Bri Dwyer! (You met Bri through this interview about what it’s like to be married to a commercial fisherman here.) Her Instagram is super dreamy, too, with captions that pull you right into the photographs.

If you have a partner who commercially fishes, please share what and where they fish in the comments below! It’s so nice to meet others who are basically on the same boat, pun intended. (Never gets old. Sorry, I had to.)

It’s so beautiful out here, it’s hard to leave! If you ever visit Santa Barbara or Ventura, be sure to sign up for a kayak tour of the Channel Islands to have your mind blown.
